Couch to 6k

Palmers Road Underpass

After a hiatus of several days (mainly produced by sheer slackness on my part), I got out for a run this morning and covered six kilometres, non-stop. I wasn’t going at any great speed – taking between six and seven minutes for each kilometre – but I did last the distance.

Now perhaps this doesn’t mean that all things are possible, but the list is longer than I thought.

You have a lot of self-discipline, Mark! I don’t, but reading about people who do gives me some encouragement. Might give the Couch-to-5K a go.

I wouldn’t say that I have any particular measure of self discipline. I do tend to keep at things that are achievable, however. Some people manage the impossible, but I do much better at the plausible.
